Senior at Collegiate, William Bennett has many abilities, from cross country running to academics to music, but today we are saluting his talents at graphic design. Here you see him signing a graphic novel he illustrated while his proud mother, Lower School teacher Julie Bennett, shares the moment. William collaborated with author Ian Bodkin in creating the first of what will be a series of intense stories for adult readers. William estimates each page of illustrating took about 30 hours of work.
Here is the description of this dystopian thriller taken from their website:
"In the wastelands a hundred years after civilization released the last bomb, a handful of survivors have come together in a place they simply call the Town. Amidst the scorched earth, these people continue to toil under the totalitarian law of the Ministry and the watchful eyes of their henchmen, the Clerics. But all that is about to change. A stranger, known only as The Savage, arrives in the distance. The relics of humanity must decide if they will continue to merely exist under the authority of the Ministry or stand and declare themselves on the path of The Savage."
I am happy to call myself an early supporter of William's art. The official start of sales will be March 1. Find out more about this work and the creators on http://www.thesavagelyrics.com/
