We had rain all day long, including some occasional cloudbursts. However, the biggest excitement occurred this morning just as the students started to arrive. A transformer blew out, and the whole school was without power. Because of judiciously placed generators, part of the library still had lights. It was a challenge to keep everyone safe, happy, and occupied. Just as the administration was beginning to think about dismissing school, the problem was solved, and we were able to have "business as usual". It did make for some exciting stories to share when we all got home.
