A friend invited me to a special interactive Good Friday program at her church. Titled "Journey to the Cross," nine stations were set up throughout the church and on the church grounds with scripture and invitations to reflect, as participants followed the Biblical story of Jesus' last hours. At the conclusion, you were invited to weave a piece of yarn or ribbon into a tapestry that represented the points along the journey. Finally you were invited to maintain this spirit of reflection throughout the rest of Easter week end. It was a memorable experience.
This looks like a really thoughtful experience and such creative ideas. The cross with the nails is particularly poignant. Very different from other stations of the cross. I would have liked to have been there .
@Cherrill My friend said they do this every year, but it is the first time I attended. It was very powerful. I did not take pictures at every station. We carried an individual nail and left it on the cross.
