Mozart in Marble Hall

Musicians of Classical Revolution RVA & the St. Edward Chorale offered a rare opportunity to hear Mozart's Solemn Vespers in the VMFA's Marble Hall. Under the direction of Elizabeth Goodwin, the 14-piece orchestra and 35-voice chorus also performed Faure's Cantique de Jean Racine and selections from Rachmaninoff's All Night Vigil. The acoustics in this venue really enhanced the performance. Every note sounded crystal clear.
This free performance concluded by 7:45pm, giving the audience time to explore the museum before it closed at 9pm.
John and I got our museum visit in before the performance. Tomorrow I'll share some of those photos.
Free concert, it is really nice.
