Lent begins tomorrow, the period of pentinence and reflection in the Christian calendar leading up to Easter. Mardi Gras ends tonight with Shrove Tuesday. Though named for its former religious significance, the day is chiefly marked by feasting and celebration, which traditionally preceded the observance of the Lenten fast.

I haven't been watching the calendar... interesting twinning of days... Beginning of Lent and Valentines, a day of lavishing chocolates! I hear Easter and April Fools land together this year as well!
