A Richmond Landmark
This statue was unveiled in July of 2017. I don’t think enough people know the accomplishments of this remarkable woman. She should be in the first rank of leaders beside Martin Luther King, Jr. and Barack Obama, made even more noteworthy because she was a woman at a time when women had little authority. Here is the column describing the statue and the woman.
