Just a taste of the biennial exhibition that pairs artwork from the permanent collection of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts with interpretative floral arrangements created by members of the Federation of Garden Clubs and other garden clubs in Virginia. Because the flowers are all fresh, the exhibition is open for less than a week, from Wednesday to Sunday. We were there Thursday afternoon, and the galleries were packed. Virginians love their flowers and pairing fine art with creative arrangements takes art appreciation to a whole new level.
