John And I went to the Virginia Museum of History and Culture to see a documentary on the soldiers of Bedford, VA who died on D Day, followed by a special patriotic tribute, including music by an army brass quintet. We then had an all-American lunch at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and then John took my all-American portrait out in the museum garden. I hope you found a way to observe this special holiday.
That looks like a wonderful Memorial Day celebration. We always visit the National Cemeteries in our area, where soldiers from the Civil War to the present are buried. I am always moved by the Civil War soldiers from the Northern states who are buried here, so far from home and family.
