I entered my name in a drawing sponsored by the Museum Crawl on Saturday. Lots of different prizes were awarded, but this was perfect for me. The book “Hidden Figures” profiling the Black women mathematicians who helped put men on the moon. I stopped by the Virginia Museum of History and Culture today to claim my prize.
Great that the book acknowledge's the importance of the black women in the history of the moon landing . It must still have been a time in history when black people faced discrimination and racism .
