After a couple of grim photos, it's time to show you the beauty of the Richmond alleys. Many have made the effort to brighten the corner where they live and the passer-by reaps the benefit. The top left is azalea, iris is on the top right. The lower left I think are flags but I can't identify the flower on the lower right. It has multiple blooms on a long stalk.
These flowers certainly are brightening the corner(s) where they are -- they are each one very lovely. Glad there are bright and colorful spots in your walking route.
