Taken from the car, this picture highlights the great stone work on this farm house. There was a beautiful red barn too, but there were too many telephone lines to make a pleasing picture
It looks like they must have added the roof and porch columns later, because that is typically not the style. But you are right, so many of the older homes are made of that beautiful stone.
We have a few houses around here that are newer but they are trying to get the look of the stone...not really the same as the real thing. Very nice capture!
