Heirloom Pears by allie912

Heirloom Pears

This Bradford pear tree at my brother's is having its best crop in years. My sister-in-law can't explain it, since they don't give the tree any special care. Just one of life's little mysteries.
It's probably all the rain from the Spring. It kept the Gypsy moths from damaging the trees. They look delicious!

Ohhh - this is so pretty. I think pears have a universal appeal. Faved.

@phil_howcroft Afraid not since we are leaving in the morning. They are not yet ready for eating. (unless you are a deer who forage there daily, but unfortunately are so skittish, they won't stay still long enough for a photo.)
