This house was repurposed from its original design as a fire department in Swampscott more than a hundred years ago. I love that they left the original alarm box. I wonder if they kept the brass pole from the second floor.
Note: I checked with my daughter and she said there was an article in the local paper about this renovation, and they did keep the pole.
