I got a picture of this 1931 Model A Ford last summer but never saw the owner til today. We had a great chat while he changed the tire. He told me the history of the Model A which predated the better-known Model T but was then totally revamped and reintroduced when sales of the Model T began to sag. He also gave me the story of his acquisition of this beauty. He bought it from a car museum in California two years ago. It took two months for the car to come East. Over the years he has had a number of antique cars and still keeps a collection in a barn in a neighboring county. As I left he issued me an invitation to come back when the weather is warmer and he'd take me for a ride. Sounds good to me!
By the way, when I asked about the color of the car, he told me the previous owners told him it was named "Happy Blue" because everyone who sees it smiles and waves.
Great shot- love how you've separated the color in the foreground and background. I think my husband would call that Giant's Blue, but you're in Virginia, so I'm not sure how accurate he'd be! It is a happy color for sure!
@olivetreeann Thank you for noticing my color editing, Ann. I didn't want the background colors to take away from the brightness of the car so I used PSE to change the colors.
