The Photographer Revealed

Is there a way to take a shot like this and not be in the picture? If so, I haven't figured it out.
very cool, like the reflection.

I think you need to be reflected in this shot! Nice decorating!

you can clone yourself out of reflections just takes a bit of time

Very nice! I like the reflection

I don't think there is a way to avoid it without some retouching, but I don't think the reflection is obvious enough for most people to notice. I mean, you definitely see reflections, but they're indistinct enough not to draw attention away from the subject.

The only way I know how is to clone yourself out

My first thought was the same as Rick and Melissa's- you'd have to clone or process yourself out somehow. But I suppose if you had the right kind of lens you could stand further back so that your reflection is indistinct or non-existent and take the shot from there. You may have to crop the picture in post-processing but maybe not if the zoom is strong enough. Just a guess. But I agree with Melissa- you can't really tell the reflection is a person- it's too indistinct. I like the placement of the balls- and the colors.

crime solved; some times I clone it out as some have suggested above

@asrai @digitalrn @reba I know cloning will replace the image but I am not skilled enough to remove me and leave the rest of the lovely reflection. I guess the real trick would have been to stand somewhere so I couldn't be seen.

to me the trick with that kind of cloning is to move slowly with the right sized brush so that's you can match the adjacent areas

@allie912 the other trick is to zoom in really close and use a small brush :D
