In looking back at my weekend photographs, I really liked this perspective taken from within the Pinta. You can see how dark it is on board. I couldn't figure what to call this opening. It is certainly not a window or a port hole. Any suggestions?
Great way to frame the other boat. Although I think the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria were "peace" boats, I believe a slit like this on the side of a boat was used for guns. You could stick the barrel of the gun through the slit and still remain protected behind the thick wood.
