Meg made the most delicious casserole of Swiss chard, tomatoes, bread and Gruyere cheese. These are the stems of the chard. The variety is called Bright Lights. Aren't they lively and lovely?

Terrific presentation of these colorful veggie. Salads seem to taste extra good in the summer time.
