Lights, Camera, Action

You may not have thought about this. But it takes just as long to make a bad movie as a good one. The cast and crew for the sequel to the Adam Sandler movie. "Grownups" is in the area creating a comedy starring Sandler, Chris Rock, Salma Hayek, and David Spade. They have been filming since June( or possibly forever). The parking lot of a former synagogue across the street from Meg's house is the staging area for the hair and make up trailers for the extras. Starting about 4 am the extras began gathering to get ready for the day's shooting. I shot this from a bedroom window upstairs. According to Meg they chase you away if you try to take pictures from near by so this is the best I could do. The extras were dressed for a party scene which was being filmed about a mile away in a house constructed inside a huge tent. Meg and John are ready for them to be gone but I found it pretty interesting.
Cool

Well, when the movie comes out, you can say you were there first.

Well, I certainly know the fun in seeing filming going on! I'm struck, though, by how unaccommodating your group is and how nice everyone was on our set here! Check out my three albums http://365project.org/Weezilou/365/2012-07-20 It's nice when actors haven't gotten too big for their britches!

Very interesting. I've never seen a photo shoot.

I think it would be cool to be on a set like that to see all the behind the scene things.

It would be interesting to see things like that...for awhile. I can understand how your daughter and son-in-law may be getting tired of it. I like how you took this picture from the window!

How neat you were able to get this behind the scenes shot. Interesting that the actual movie scene was a mile away. Would be fun to see!
