It's a Girl Thing

My school is almost a hundred years old. It started as a girls school and then added a boys division. In the 1960's the boys and girls schools combined classes but the girls maintain some traditions from early days. One of these traditions is a holiday brunch in which the Junior class produces a full scale musical production for all the girls of the Middle and Upper Schools. They keep the title secret until the day of the play and the boys try very hard to worm it out of them. When my daughter was a student, they actually had a festive brunch served before the play but now they have a very beautiful theater and serving food in this building is definitely frowned upon.
In the days leading up to the Brunch you will see many cars adorned with question marks and bright holiday colors, driven by junior girls in anticipation of their big day.
It sounds like a tradition they do not want to see disappear, and that is cool that it means something, and some are willing to keep it alive. .

@phil_howcroft That is a cougar paw, Phil. The cougar is our school mascot and you will find signs of him everywhere!
