Digging Out

My daughter in Swampscott, Massachusetts, north of Boston, sent this picture of her husband tackling the snowfall dumped by the big blizzard of 2013. Meg said they had a fire in their fireplace and plenty to eat so they will just enjoy a few days at home. Fortunately they didn't lose their electricity.
My goodness, they had a dumping didn't they. Glad to hear they are all stocked up.

We heard about how much they'd gotten all day, but this is the first picture I've seen- wow! I'm so glad we didn't get that much!

I can sympathize! The snowplow couldn't make it up our very long and narrow driveway, so we shoveled out as much as we could - after 4 hours, we gave up - and only half the driveway was done! We need to get a bobcat to come in and haul out all the snow - the drifts are unbelievable! Glad your daughter has heat and electricity - I do, too. I have a friend in Scituate - the whole town is without power, and they said it will be 4-5 days before power is restored. I'm sure schools will be closed again on Monday - maybe longer!
