John and I had dinner at a restaurant with a long tradition, dating back to 1935. Helen's began as a pharmacy in 1912 and retains the fixtures of the original building. The style of the food is described as "a contemporary spin on traditional Southern cuisine." This was my choice, bacon wrapped stuffed chicken with spicy italian sausage, spinach, and ricotta stuffing, potato gnocchi, and spring vegetable broth. Needless to say, I didn't order dessert.
