These First Graders had come to the Library to do insect research (hence the clipboards) while still dressed for Career Day. The group being photographed is small because the rest of their classmates had already shed their outfits. As you can see only one boy is still in costume. If you have a chance to wear a football uniform, you don't voluntarily remove it. Now we turn to the girls. This particular group of divas definitely knows how to strike a pose. As John would say, they all appear to have a rich fantasy life. How wonderful to be starting out in life with the full expectation that anything can happen.
