Worth Saving

I am told that these traditional red phone booths will soon be a thing of the past. I realize that with the introduction of cell phones, people just don't use pay phones anymore, but this is one piece of the past I hope never dies.

I have the PERFECT USE/REASON TO SAVE THESE PHONE BOOTHS!!! In fact, I have been wishing for YEARS that I could have one of these in my computer lab (aka "Grand Central Station") at school.) In fact, all public buildings should provide at least one of these so when a person wants to make a private phone call they can take their cell phone and go to the phone booth. I cannot tell you how many times I have needed such a place...for example, at work when I need to make a call but don't want everyone around me to hear me talking to my doctor or my tax guy, etc. Many of us do not have a private office so a private phone booth nearby would be awesome!!!! AND then maybe we also would not be "forced to listen" to some of the people who have no clue how loud they are talking as they wander around chatting mindlessly on their cell phones...then again, those people would probably not be the ones who would think to use the phone booth for privacy! LOL
