When I looked out of the library mid-afternoon on Friday, I realized it had gotten as dark as night. Then the wind picked up and began screaming while the trees tossed their branches back and forth. Once the clouds opened and began dumping their contents, there was no question about leaving the safety of the library. I remained til the storm eventually subsided and became a more reasonable rain. Even then the roads were under water in many places.
This morning the sun shone brightly, and the storm was a distant memory.
