Hiding in Plain Sight

I took this picture yesterday of what I thought was St. Francis. The statue was tucked away in a side yard, and I had to really zoom in to get the detail. When I had a chance to look more closely today, I'm not so sure it is the traditional Francis. First there are no animals at his side and secondly, he has a different look about him, including the hood and the bowl. Are there other saints of the garden I don't know, or is this an image of a mortal working diligently among the ivy?

It's a very pretty shot. Other than someone from Middle Earth, I tend to think it's Francis. Perhaps Mother Nature is supposed to supply his furry friends.
