The exhibit is called Hollywood Costume and here is a description from the museum website:
Organized by the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, this special exhibition, which is on view through February 17, 2014, explores the central role costume design plays in cinematic storytelling. Bringing together the most iconic costumes from a century of cinema, it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the clothes worn by unforgettable and beloved characters in films such as The Wizard of Oz, The Birds, My Fair Lady, Superman, Titanic, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and The Dark Knight Rises.
Unfortunately, as with many of these special traveling exhibitions, photography was not permitted. I had to settle for this creative display at the museum gift shop. I hope you can tell that this gown is comprised of lengths of 35mm film stock.
