In the midst of plenty, it is essential that we keep in mind those less fortunate. In this Thanksgiving season, our students gather items for the William Byrd Community House food drive. The William Byrd Community House is a non-profit organization in Richmond focused on early childhood development. Its programs include a summer camp for children ages 3 – 12, and early childhood education for children ages 3 – 5. The organization also features a library and education center, farmers market, community garden, and an urban farmlet. The relationship between William Byrd and our Lower School is a natural connection as both organizations seek the best for children.
