Here we are in the garden of the Wickham House, built in 1812 for John Wickham, a renowned lawyer who successfully defended Aaron Burr after his duel with Alexander Hamilton. This peaceful spot is surrounded by government, hospital and university buildings.Even when first built it was in the center of downtown. Wickham wanted to be able to walk to work!
