In our neighborhood, there were scenes like this repeated in a number of places. The homeowners were ready with individual goody bags, but the trick or treaters didn’t show up. I think their parents, wisely, kept them home or in their own little pod. That’s a lot of candy some adults are going to “have to” eat!
