Look Up

Enjoying the brilliant blue sky, I looked up at the bare tree and saw a clump of fresh green leaves. How can such things be? I have no answer but it added a little extra to the day.

That is mistletoe. It is a parasite the mimics the tree’s appearance while it steals nutrients from the host tree.
