The wish-fulfilling tree is part of the tradition of many Eastern religions. In the current exhibit, Tsherin Sherpa: Visions, the tree sculpture is accompanied by an invitation to add your own wish. A side note: the rubble at the base of the tree is taken from the base of one of the monuments removed from Monument Avenue.
