Great Smoky Mountains National Park

I was so glad that we got a hike in despite the cold.

It was a crisp, cool winter day...and perhaps the cold kept the crowds away.

We've decided that we need to go back for more time during a more temperate time of year. There is so much to see and do in town and in the park.

Our son is a park ranger, and his park is open, but a lot of people assume it is closed for the shutdown, so there are fewer visitors. This is a gorgeous landscape!
