Sorry that the Vegemite jingle is stuck in your head.
Thankyou for your visit.
I have been journalling for most of my life. My 'Collected works' now run to many volumes and the question now is what to do with them all. @pandorasecho
I have just gathered all my old letters because I have written and photocopied letters about my trips, and at Christmas for 40 years now. I wrote tons of letters before that, for about 6 years to pen pals and family. Anyway, I had the letters and photographs printed, only for me. In a two volume, very expensive book set, but I also uploaded them to my blog to share for free.
I would have to spend a lot of time editing my journals to do something like that. My journals are part reflective writing, part record, part aide-memoire, part my story, not all for any wider consumption.
I have letters, as well, and they are more public. I do like your idea of printing your letters and keeping them. Did you keep the originals? Mine are all sorted and bundled but in a box and, while they are not as accessible as a printed volume, the letters themselves have a feel and memories of places and times.
All 'stuff' to ponder—and to write about in my journal!!
