Scots Church Adelaide by annied

Scots Church Adelaide

So May is going to be about Adelaide in my People and Places album - yes- I am behind - ha ha - what's new?

Scots Church Adelaide was built by a group of prominent Adelaide citizens, early immigrants to South Australia, who supported the Free Church of Scotland movement. The foundation stone for the new church was laid on the 8th of September 1850 and the church building was officially opened for worship on July 6th 1851. The tower was added in 1858.
What a fantastic collage. Gorgeous church.

Sam
Old buildings are truly magnificent. Shame we don't build them like they used to!
