at one end of the prom a rather nice tree (but with a fungal infection) was being chopped down - and at the other an exceptionally hard-working man from Windermere Town Council was planting up some of the big new troughs. He talked me through the plants, but I've forgotten some. Anyway, there are camassias, salvia, geums, scilla and "ranunculus" (which he called something different).
Very nice! I recognize most of those plants, except for the burgundy leaf one in the corner. So pretty!
