I quite enjoyed painting this one. I traced the outline via an online image I found that I put on my iPad. Then I filled it in as you see above. I used my new number 1 watercolour brush as an experiment and was delighted at how thin I could get the lines with it. Another step on the learning curve.

You might want to add just the faintest shade of anything (a gray would do) somewhere where the bird meets the flower, and spread it a bot, like a medallion, just to unify the scene, to make it look as if it is not floating - although, truly enough, hummingbirds do float around...
