Went on a little field trip today with my husband to find the headstone of one of his ancestors. It's probably only 2 miles from our house. It's kind of interesting, because we didn't realize until recently, that his people lived so close to my people 200 years ago. Who knows, we might be cousins.
That's awesome, and so much fun. A couple of years ago, I found some great-great-great-great-, great-great-great, and great-great-grandparents in a cemetery about a half hour from here. It was a big surprise!
@narayani I'm not sure what it says about my family that we're still in the same place as we were 200 years ago. We're either not very adventureous or we're very content.
