Dogwood

After a week of rain this is about all that's left of the blooms on our dogwood.

The petals look very valiant to of survived the rain. Is a dogwood a tree or a shrub?

@365projectorgjenfurj thank you, they were bravely clinging. A dogwood is a tree (usually). There are some varieties that are more shrub-like. It gets beautiful berries in the fall that the birds love.
