“Progress”

I hate to sound like an old person who is always complaining about things changing… But this is just a small sample of what is going on around us. I can think of at least five different farms or large tracts of land in the immediate area that are currently being ripped up for gas pipeline construction, new housing developments and electrical transmission lines. It makes me sad. My kids aren’t going to recognize their hometown in about a year.

It is sad. I so agree. Makes me think of that old song Tar and Cement ... "where are the lilacs and all that they meant. Nothin but acres of tar and cement" ...
