@narayani In a nutshell, poor pay and brutal hours. I was getting married and didn’t want to start married & family life like that. 12 hour days, (on your feet) were not uncommon, especially around Christmas. Valentines Day was the worst because of the roses (and their thorns). But in spite of that I still have it in the back of my mind for some day when I want to work part time and hopefully in a less intense shop.
