I woke up to the news that Andy Christina and Ellie spent two hours last night huddled in their bathroom riding out a tornado outbreak. One of the tornadoes went right over their town, Beavercreek Ohio. Their townhouse lost some of its siding which was mild damage compared to some. Even though he is a very competent 30 year old, I still found it very upsetting. No matter how old your kids are, you still worry about them and want to protect them from all of Life’s dangers.
I’m surprised it made your news, but it was pretty nasty @narayani@Annie-Sue Western Ohio is considered on the outer fringe of “tornado alley”. Their city has a tornado siren so it must happen enough. I don’t know if their bathrooms are reinforced, good question! You’re supposed to go to the most interior room without windows so that’s why they were in the bathroom. The house they will be moving into later this summer has a basement which will be much safer.
Gorgeous peonie. So sorry to hear about the tornado danger but glad they are all safe. Yes of course one worries about your kids no matter how old and capable they are.
