A bunch of Carnations doing their own thing ,after been in the house foe over 2wks .I took some photos this afternoon -but flagged before downloading them !!-Why !! Well Alfie was in a desperate need for a trim -but unfortunately Alfie was not very obliging today Hence after quite a struggle I left him looking rather like the Spec Savers advert !! - perhaps not quite so bad -but at least unfinished Shall finish him off tomorrow before the neighbours see him -lol !!
Wish you had posted a half cut Alfie Beryl!!! Your carnations are very colourful....I wasn't too keen on carnations at one time but must say the newer varieties are much more full & these have beautiful arching stems.
@happypat Must confess Pat !! -the arched stems is due to going over !! but I gave them some fresh water as I quit like this look !! As for Alfie's hair trim photo -you must be joking !! he's been in hiding ever since between the armchair & the radiator !! where he thinks I can not get him !!--if he only knew I am too shattered to struggle any more with him tonight !!

@jo13 Thanks Jo the Arthritis is an going saga I am on the waiting lists for A shoulder replacement & for a knee replacement + 2 other ops !! but the waiting lists seem to be endless Alfie in no mood even to pose today !! afraid I'll bring out the scissors again !!
Beautiful colour carnations which make a great shot in the vase. Hope to see newly-trimmed Alfie in due course. (I always have to trim Jinks in two or more sessions as he hates it!)
