One for Aug15 words .from the archives as I didn't take a photo today A friend came down and we went out for lunch then he helped Gary put up a curtain rail in the conservatory !
Feeling rather deflated as I had a letter from the respiratory consultant advising me that I should inform the DVLA as my Sleep Apnoea Syndrome is quite severe and I should stop driving and that I am treated with CPAP --If this works the consultant can then in a month or so advice the DVLA that I am safe to drive again ! ( I pray the treatment will work !)
All these abbreviations! An awful condition to have! I have a friend who goes to sleep with a machine every night! This picture could be in NZ with the background being gorse!
@maggiemae Yes I have been fitted with a mask attached to a machine to use at night . I hope I will be able to drive again Maggiemae --suc a handicap without a car !
A lovely rural capture .Hope all turns out well for you Beryl I expect it is a big blow for you not being able to drive as it takes away your freedom but hopefully it will improve as my hubby's did but he has an oxygen machine at home and a portable bottle if we want to go out for any length of time but luckily he can still drive..
Super shot. Hope all goes well and that you can still drive. I have three friends who all have sleep apnoea and have CPAP machines. None of them have had their drivers licences taken from them though.
Beryl, I trust that everything will turn out positive for you and that you will once again be able to drive. I know this is a tough period for you. This photo is absolutely beautiful and framed so well. fav
This is a beautiful country scene and great frame. Beryl I do hope that it all works out and you can drive again. I worked with lots of people with the machines and it does take a bit of getting used to but worth it for the positive results.
Oh no that sounds upsetting Beryl when you have so much to contend with at the moment. As others have said I hope the treatment works quickly so you're not without your car for too long. This is a lovely, peaceful rural scene.
A beautifully presented shot. You have had so much to put up with health wise, and this must be a great blow. I wasn't able to drive for medical reasons for a couple of years and it really curtailed my life. I didn't actually tell the DVLA - just didn't drive until I got the medical all-clear again. Do hope the treatment is effective.
I do hope your medical treatment works well for you too.
