This beautiful vase is A Royal Copenhagen Fajance vase in the Baca Blue Ware, designed by Nils Thorsson It was one of the beautiful Christmas gifts my father bought for my mother many years ago back in the 1960s .and now I am the proud owner of it .
Today so far looks to be a better day - perhaps Spring is on the way after all ! Had a hospital visit yesterday , saw the orthopaedic surgeon re my arm -- the replacement was successful but it still pains me , as he explained it is the arthritis in the joining shoulder bone is the problem and he has boked me for an injection in the shoulder under xray soo the injection can be precise and if this doesn't work , he sill preform a keyhole surgery to improve things . He is such a lovely man !!
A colourful vase with a lovely design Beryl. Hope the injection improves your shoulder I had one last summer it improved movement but I still get twinges after too much use.
How lovely your doctor is treating you so kindly & with every intention of getting you moving & pain free Beryl. Your dad had such good taste, thus vase is very attractive & it looks smooth to the touch. I have a horror of anything rough that's why I never took to those sweet little cottages, I have never seen one for years how strange they used to be so popular! I love a smooth surface you can stroke! He he!
@happypat Funnily enough I never liked those "sweet " little cottages either !! they were so much in vogue in the early 1990's . I also like smooth surfaces that I can stroke especially wooden things -wood is so tactile , warm and smooth to the touch ! :) Ha ha -- we are two of a kind !! :)
Sounds like you could be he bionic woman Beryl! Arthritis is a painful condition!
Glad there are things that can be done for your health problems, hope they work.
