Atcham Bridge by beryl

Atcham Bridge

A close-up of part of the road bridge crossing over the Severn River at Atcham Shropshire . The old bridge was built in 1776 and the second bridge built by its side is used today

What a beautiful bridge! It must be quite old!

In answer to the berries, no they are not the same only similar. The two I have are only tiny bushes about 5 inches high! The other is white so I might take a photo of that to post.

how lovely, and I like the greenery on it - is it no longer in use, a new bridge is used but the old one still stands?
October 9th, 2018
@koalagardens -- yes, side by side the old one is too narrow and would not take the wear and tare of modern traffic !

Beautiful soft colour Beryl, it looks as though you have been to Greece! Works so well with the greenery! Fascinating that the two bridges are side by sure!

That’s a lovely photo Beryl. If I hadn’t been working backwards and seen a later post I would never have known it was 2 bridges.
