Great shot and I love the framing. Perhaps it is one of this year's, it has been hot and dry for a while and they might drop their cones early in conditions like this?

Thank you all , as I said before ,this one must be a cone from last year --most probably disturbed by the squirrel !! as this year-s cones on this tree are still forming !!
