Wow you were up early this morning Beryl Try not to worry too much about your surgery, as Ivan said you will be in good hands. The pain relief is so good nowadays so just be sure to stay on top of that afterwards and all will be well.
You be brave as I believe this operation is the mother of all! I know it is not comforting words, I am only preparing you. The upside though, is that you will be able to hold your camera so steady afterwards that all the shots will look like you have used a Tripod!! :))
Goodness you get up early! I really hope the op goes well for you and that you make a speedy recovery, my mum had a replacement knee last year and it has changed her life, will be thinking of you.

I'm sure all will go well with your op and try not to be apprehensive and just do each moment and get really better really soon. (My auntie's husband had this op and made a good recovery.)
Beryl, wishing you a speedy recovery. Be patient as that is a tough surgery, but with rehab you should do fine. The most important thing is not to push yourself too hard.
A big thank you to you all for all your advice & best wishes !! I hope this one will go without hitch as i have one or two other ops on hold at the moment
1 tomorrow left shoulder replacement (& I am left handed ) !
2 will be put on the waiting list for a knee replacement -hopefully in 3 months time followed by --
3 right shoulder replacement !!
4 sometime in the near future cataract s surgery --which I shall consider as minor surgery after all this !!
Just hope the rest of me will keep intact !! & am looking foreward to more pain free mobility !!--bionic woman --here I come !! @paulaw Thank you Paula --I keep telling myself perhaps great pain over a short period of time is better than this continuous pain & imobility @genesis_one Thanks Corrie --I like your straight talking and I am sure I will cope when it comes to the crunch --so to speak !! But with the right pain relief you shouldn't be in great pain hopefully! Sounds like quite a list but you really will be a new (and bionic) woman after that!
Oh dear Beryl, do hope everything goes OK...you are in the wars lately & theres me grumbling about a bit of pain in my hip!!!
Take good care of yourself & don't try to get back too quickly!!!
