Wow, my confidence has grown so much this year.
A couple of weeks ago on Saturday went for a makeup trial with my daughters and mum and I was not really looking forward to it as I have never worn makeup apart from a little on my wedding day. But I actually really enjoyed it.
So much so, that I even booked an appointment at Boots -Ace your Base No7, last Wednesday. I went along with apprehension as I know nothing about makeup. But it was such a wonderful experience the beautician made me feel at ease and was really helpful.
So really coming out of my comfort zone.While sitting having a coffee at Costa I said to hubby I want to pop to Hobbs to see if my order for the pink jacket was in and also try on the hat style fascinator. And yes I purchased it. Hoping my order will be in store on Monday.
How exciting, so glad your confidence is growing. I am sure you are going to be a truly elegant mother of the bride. You will have to post a photo of you at the wedding.
You’re going to look wonderful Laura….love your choice of colours & the day of the make up try out. I don’t wear lots of make up by any means but have always worn a foundation with sunscreen….I’m sure it’s kept my skin in better condition. Even milking cows ….on went the slap in the morning! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's great when that feeling of growing confidence makes itself known - you realise how far you've come and it makes you game to keep on keeping on. Good for you!
I asked the beautician on a No 7 counter for some advice re. lipstick colours some years ago and she was sooooo helpful! I ended up with a couple of colours I would have passed over because I didn't think they'd suit me but they really worked.
