One last street shot. When it comes to streets in Edmonton, Whyte Avenue in my opinion is the most fun place to hang out. It is located in the historical district of Old Strathcona. Many of the buildings date back to the late 1800's and early 1900's and today they are used for restaurants, stores, boutiques etc. Many of them are locally owned businesses.
Here Melody is standing beside the Strathcona Hotel which was built by the C & E Railway Co. back in 1891 and yes it is still being used as a hotel even this day
Your commentary made me smile :o) After visiting Oxford yesterday where the building that my daughter's graduation ceremony took place in was considered quite modern as it was built in the 1640s! Lovely street shot btw xx
this is a great shot, brian. i love your composition of the solid structure which is the hotel, the trees and then the road. and made greater so by the presence of "the smile". hah! you lucky boy.
