Over the past couple of days Melody and l discovered some new murals. Here is the first of three. Edmonton is known as The Gateway to the North. Many people made their way through Edmonton on their way to the Yukon to take in the the Klondike Gold Rush
This is a very nice mural and a sharp capture. i have a plan to go out and photograph the murals in my city and maybe post them here.
what i learn from this photo is that the murals need some reference point. they are usually very fine paintings. but for instance, this one could be on a piece of furniture, just like it may be on a small wall or fence, or on a huge wall of a stadium, for instance. it doesn't diminish the quality of the photograph or of the painting. it is just a note i made to myself when looking at this image and i thought to share it with you. the photo of Joey's mural from yesterday, does have that perspective, because of the patch of grass that can be seen in front of it. of course, this is a subjective point of view, and it totally depends on the intention of the photographer.
looking forward to the next ones.
This one reminds me of the style of a very well-known painter here in the US- but do you think I can remember his name?! He was known for painting scenes of this era. Nice shot.
I like the new mural and your narrative. true Edmonton is the Gateway to the North etc. fav.
The malls here as far as I know never had trick or treats for the kids, but I could be mistaken. I took the picture of a store which sells nothing but Halloween items. it most likely will close doors after Halloween.
